Educational Philosophy:
Learning flourishes in an environment of disciplined inquiry that develops and integrates knowledge and skills. The best learning occurs in an environment that is rich in resources, provides opportunity for active, participatory learning, and stresses responsibility and initiative. Learning is achieved through a clear integration and alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. All students can learn and are expected to achieve high standards.
Toys for Tots Toy Drive
We will be holding a Toys For Tots Toy Drive school wide during the week of December 7-11. Please send a new unwrapped toy with your child/student to school. The toys can be dropped off in the multi-purpose room. There will be a box located there to hold the toys.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINES
Thanks to all community members who donated National Geographic magazines to my class. The response was awesome! I use the magazines for a variety of purposes in Science and am very grateful to all who sent them. I have enough for now, but I might need to request them again when I need more in the future.

Confirmed cases of H1N1 at Moravia Schools
We have had a confirmed case of H1N1 flu in our student body, and a few “probable” cases have been diagnosed. Luckily, our absentee rate has remained under the reportable 10% mark. As we are likely to see more cases in the coming days/weeks, we'd like to encourage parents, students and staff to keep up the good work of covering coughs & sneezes, cleaning hands and containing germs by staying home if sick.
